Our staff are striving to improve and grow. In learning themselves, they also show our young people that growth and learning has benefits.
Placement Suitability and Matching
We accept referrals for children with emotional and behavioural needs who require therapeutic, structured residential care. All placements are subject to a detailed impact and compatibility assessment. Fides House accommodates up to two children (with provision for a third in emergency situations), ensuring high staff-to-child ratios and individual attention. We do not currently accept placements for children with severe learning disabilities or dual diagnoses requiring specialist care.
Therapeutic Model and Staff Expertise
We follow the Pillars of Parenting (PoP) model, underpinned by trauma-informed care, therapeutic risk management, and emotional regulation. Each young person is supported by a multi-agency team including therapists, psychologists, and experienced residential staff. We provide access to CAMHS professionals and use assessment tools such as the Pearson Resiliency Scale and Trauma Checklist to track progress. All staff receive ongoing training in safeguarding, de-escalation, and therapeutic interventions.

Safeguarding and Compliance
Fides House is fully compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and is governed by a robust safeguarding framework. We conduct dynamic risk assessments, behaviour management planning, and are proactive in our response to CSE and missing-from-care risks. Our safeguarding and behaviour policies are available on request or via our intranet.
